The CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme offered free solar systems to up to 100,000 low-consumption households using 0 to 200 units a month, chosen through transparent balloting. Registrations are closed: the official portal says so, and the Punjab Portal gives the last date as 5 January 2025. This page explains who was eligible and how the process worked, and how registered consumers can check their result.

For reference: applications are closed

How the scheme worked

The portal lists six stages: registration on the web portal (or by SMS of the bill reference number and CNIC to 8800), adding details, an eligibility check, balloting of registered consumers, physical verification of those qualified, and finally installation. Registering did not guarantee a system; only those drawn in the ballot and then verified received one.
