Before you apply for a housing loan
Apni Chhat Apna Ghar lends up to Rs 1.5 million without interest, repaid over seven years, but it is not for everyone. You must already own the land or the house, and it must be small: up to 5 marla in a city or 10 marla in a village. The plot must be in your name alone, because the rules require you to be the sole owner and possessor. You also need a PSER or NSER record with a PMT score of 60 or less, you must be 21 to 60 years old, and you cannot have a criminal record or an unpaid loan. If you do not own a plot, this loan cannot help yet; check whether your family is registered in the PSER, because the wider housing program also plans low-cost houses through developers. Keep your ownership papers and CNIC ready before you start the online form.
