The official site, pmfuelrelief.pk, says registration is open across Pakistan, including Punjab, and stays open after tokens start. We checked it on 27 October 2026.

How to register on 9771 and get petrol at Rs 100 off
- Register once by SMS. From a SIM registered on your own CNIC, type this message and send it to 9771:
REG 3520112345678 LEB214560 P 02092026That is REG, your 13-digit CNIC, your vehicle number without dashes or spaces, P for a vehicle registered in Punjab, and the registration date from your registration book as DDMMYYYY. Put one space between each part. The numbers above are an example. - Wait for the confirmation SMS. The system checks your CNIC and vehicle automatically against NADRA and Excise records and replies to confirm. You register only once.
- Get a token before you go to the pump. Send
TOKto 9771. The reply SMS contains your token number. - Show the token at the pump. The pump attendant enters your vehicle number and token in the official app. You pay Rs 100 less per litre than that day’s price, and you get a confirmation SMS after refuelling.

The confirmation SMS comes after an automatic check against NADRA and Excise records. A token reply contains only your token number. Bike tokens are valid for 7 days, car tokens for 10.

Province codes and date format
The province code is the first letter of the province where the vehicle is registered, not where you live. A bike registered in Lahore is P, even if you now live in Islamabad.

Write the date as 8 digits with no spaces: day, month, then year. 2 September 2026 is 02092026. Writing 02SEP2026 fails. Add a 0 before a single-digit day or month.

Each token is tied to one vehicle number, so nobody else can use it for another vehicle. The whole quota must be filled in one transaction. You cannot get a new token while one is still active. If a token expires unused, you can request a new one after the waiting period.
Registration date rule: cars up to 800cc must be registered on or after 1 January 2006. For bikes and rickshaws, the official site gives 1 January 2006 in its eligibility section and 1 January 2011 in its FAQ table. If your bike was registered between 2006 and 2010, call 9771 to confirm before you count on the subsidy.
Punjab’s own motorbike relief (April 2026)
This is separate from the federal 9771 scheme. On 4 April 2026, the Punjab Chief Minister announced a Rs 2,000 monthly subsidy for registered motorbike owners, equal to Rs 100 per litre on 20 litres, and waived motorbike registration and transfer fees, as reported by APP. Registration for that package was announced through helpline 1000 and the Maryam Ko Batayn app, which is linked below. Call 1000 to ask about your own Punjab package application.
Register only by SMS, not on 9771 websites
Many look-alike websites use “9771” in their name, offer “online registration” forms or charge a fee. You do not need any website to register: the only method is the SMS you send yourself to 9771. The official information site named by APP is pmfuelrelief.pk. Never share the token or confirmation SMS with anyone except the pump attendant, and never pay an agent.

How do I get the petrol token?
After your registration is confirmed, send TOK to 9771 before you go to the pump. The reply SMS contains your token number.
How much is the discount?
Rs 100 per litre off the price on the day you refuel: Rs 500 on a bike token and Rs 1,000 on a car token.
Does the motorcycle need to be in my name?
No. The official site says a motorcycle or three-wheeler does not have to be registered in the applicant’s name, and the owner does not have to be at the pump. A car must be registered in the applicant’s own name, and the owner must be present at the pump.
Is the 9771 SMS free?
APP, the state news agency, reported on 17 September 2026 that the registration SMS was made free on the Prime Minister’s directive. The official site still shows a charge of Rs 1.25 plus tax.
What is the 9771 helpline?
Citizens can call 9771 from any network, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Petrol pump owners call 9772.
Why is my SMS blocked?
After 5 wrong messages, the system blocks your number for 8 hours. Check the format carefully before you send again.
