Why your PSER record matters
Punjab welfare programs need a fair way to decide who is poor enough to qualify, and most of them use the household record in the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry or the federal National Socio-Economic Registry. Your record holds your family members, income, home, assets and land, and from it the system works out a PMT score. A lower score usually means a poorer household. For example, the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar housing loan accepts families with a score of 60 or less, and the Minority Card needs a score of 45 or less. If your family has never been surveyed, or your situation has changed since, your record may stop you from getting help you are entitled to. Registration is free at centres across Punjab, and nobody can change your score for money. Read the guide below for the exact details the survey asks for.
